ARA Group Executive Chair and Managing Director
With more than 30 years of experience in the building services industry, Edward Federman co-founded ARA Group in 2001 with a vision to build the business through organic growth and strategic acquisitions. Since 2001, Edward has helped to grow the business to employ over 2,500 people across a diverse range of product and service divisions.
Under Edward’s direction, ARA has gained recognition as an industry leader with a strong sense of commitment and giving back to the communities in which it operates.
In 2009, Edward established the ARA Endowment Fund as a simple and affordable way for ARA staff to make regular donations to registered Australian charities. Edward hopes to create a legacy of charitable donations that will continue in perpetuity, currently focusing on three key partnerships: The Indigenous Literacy Foundation, The GO Foundation and The David Lynch Foundation.
In 2018, Edward and the ARA Group became the Principal Partner of Sydney Writers’ Festival and in 2019, ARA became the Principal Partner of The Monkey Baa Theatre Company, promoting creative partnerships with Sydney’s arts sector.
Edward Federman currently serves as the Executive Chair and Managing Director of the ARA Group.
